Self-care is the proactive act of taking care of and honoring your body, mind, and spirit in a way that activates your best self. Self-care is about giving your body downtime to relax, replenish, and to restore your mood and energy levels. Self-care consists of five areas:
Physical (commit to regular exercise), psychological (own personal therapy), emotional (give yourself affirmations), professional (get regular supervision/continuing education), and spiritual (practice meditation).
